Ahna + Gid [Downtown Lancaster Engagement]

Ahna and Gid radiate joy. I loved capturing the in-between moments where they beamed at each other. And all the laughter. So much laughter! Which is my favorite thing to capture during sessions. These two met at church several years ago and were always just friends….Ahna always just viewed Gid as a buddy. But he was crushing! Finally she agreed to go on a date (after some persistence ; ) , and in a short time they fall hard for each other. In their downtime, they adore visiting the beach, hiking, and cooking together.

Last Fall, Ahna thought she and Gid were simply strolling around the city with her sis & brother-in-law. Then they walked into Steinman Park, a picturesque nook in Lancaster City with a cascading waterfall. Ahna watched as Gid knelt down on one knee and asked, “Will you marry me?” She didn’t even notice her brother-in-law whip out the iphone to record the special moment. They ended the night by celebrating with about twenty of their friends and family.

I’m giddy about this session (and how about that sunset!!?) By the way, I told Ahna on the shoot that she reminds me of Carrie Underwood from certain angles. And Brittany Snow!
