Drumore Estate [European Garden Wedding Inspiration]

Ok I admit it: Paris wasn’t on my list of places to explore…until I recently had a layover there on my way home from visiting Morocco. I mustered up the courage to leave the Paris airport at 9pm, just my 50 lb camera backpack and me…no working cell phone, two phrases of French knowledge, and just enough Euros to pay the taxi driver.

As I stepped out of the taxi and laid eyes on the Eiffel tower (lit up and sparkling!), I was left speechless (which is rare ; ) A live violinist serenaded the crowd, and it kicked off my whirlwind tour of the romantic city that night before I headed to the airport by 2am.

The enchantment found in Europe was my inspiration for this styled shoot. After I returned to the U.S., I started assembling this incredible vendor team (listed below)! Our vision was to create a European garden party vibe, which is perfect for the sprawling property of Drumore Estate.

The estate is located here in Lancaster, PA…a town becoming a destination spot for couples living in NYC, Philadelphia, DC, and beyond. If you’re planning your wedding with a desire for a quiet location away from the big city, Drumore is the perfect mix of elegance & charm yet with a fun, personable vibe!

A huge thanks to our models, newlyweds Alex and John. The way they look at each other is indescribable. Alex works at a youth mission in the city, and they met when John started volunteering there…that gives you a glimpse into their genuine and loving spirits.

We incorporated some fun touches in the shoot! Natalie, with Drumore, explains the vision behind this unique beverage cart:

“Drumore’s coordinator will often bring the couple a drink and a platter of appetizers to enjoy right after the ceremony, in the side garden. It’s a sweet, quiet moment to enjoy officially being married.”
