Amanda + John [Lancaster Greenhouse Engagement]

There’s something so romantic about chance encounters that lead to love. When I listen to couples share their stories of this happening, I always marvel at them being in the same spot at the same time… Amanda and John struck up conversation one evening in Philly at a bar. They exchanged numbers and enjoyed their first date soon after: sushi, margaritas, and live blues music. It didn’t take long to realize there was something special between them.

For the proposal, John planned a weekend getaway to Jim Thorpe. What he didn’t anticipate was the crazy ending to their 10 mile canoe adventure: they suddenly had to hide under the canoe during a hail storm. Luckily they're a relaxed, go-with-the-flow adventurous couple. Later that weekend, John proposed and the answer was a resounding “yes!”

This couple is a blast to be around, and I could barely stop laughing when I met them for the first time! They display a zest for life and for each other. I’m eagerly anticipating their May wedding at the Booking House.
