Katie + Matt [Maryland Engagement]

This blog post is extra special to share with the universe, because Katie is one of my very dearest friends.

In 2013, I photographed a wedding where Katie was a bridesmaid. We had mutual friends, and I remember being drawn to her spunky personality. We stayed in touch, and the first time we actually hung out was a 10-day trek around Oregon and Washington! (Exploring all three national parks in WA was a highlight.) Our next adventure was eating our way through Nashville. I can’t imagine my life without her over the last six years.

This brings me to Matt. He is a gem, and when I watch them together, it’s obvious that they’re a perfect fit. They laughed and flirted the whole evening, which is a perfect recipe for a session! They are head-over-heels and are so excited to be married—after knowing each other since 2011 in college!

We had a blast at their session in Maryland last weekend, trekking around the property where Matt grew up. I’m beyond excited to be a bridesmaid in their July wedding!!
