Josh + Kelly [Downtown Lancaster]

As fate would have it, Josh and Kelly entered a crowded sports bar as total strangers. But they left totally smitten with each other. That evening in 2009 played out much differently than they had anticipated. Josh and Kelly simply planned to watch the Phillies vs Yankees World Series with friends. But upon their first encounter, they chatted away the evening as if “we had known each other for decades,” recounts Kelly.

After talking for hours, they ended the night by dancing to a modern rendition of “Mr. Postman.” Wrapped in each other’s embrace, it seemed so right, and deep down in Kelly’s soul she felt that Josh was a keeper. They were married last June and have since relocated to Lancaster City. May I suggest that you dine at their fantastic restaurant: Annie Bailey’s Pub. It’s a hot spot in the city and has the authentic vibe of an Irish pub, and their food is incredible.

Their pup, Molly, joined us on our shoot throughout the city! They looked fabulous and certainly knew how to rock the camera.

Kelly + Eric [Lancaster engagement session]

I just adore my job and love tailoring each engagement session to the couple. Want me to incorporate your pet miniature horse? No problem! [You’ll meet Honey the horse below…she’s pretty adorable, and I do believe she has a future in modeling.] As I pulled up to the farm where Eric grew up, I squealed when I saw the most charming cabin nestled among snowy hills. What a pretty, wintery background for Kelly and Eric’s engagement session. They are outdoorsy folks, spending many dates hiking and exploring nature.

It’s sweet to watch these two interact, and it’s as if they’ve known each other their whole lives. But in fact, they met last year when they signed up for the same online dating site. Eric’s profile caught Kelly’s eye, and she took a chance by messaging him. They’ve been inseparable ever since and look forward to starting a future as husband and wife.

Laura + Kyle [Downtown Lancaster Engagement Session]

Laura headed out the door for a casual lunch date with Kyle, whom she had just met through mutual friends. Well, the lunch date lasted until the late evening. These two found themselves absolutely smitten with each other, as they discussed their passions and dreams for their life. Following this first date, Kyle told his mom, “I’m going to marry that girl!”  After two years of dating, he surprised Laura with a stunning engagement ring while they were on an island cruise in sunny St. Maarten. This couple is genuine, loyal to their friends and family, and they light up the room as soon as they enter it.  When spending time together, they love frequenting concerts, exploring new places, and enjoying this city’s delicious cuisine.  I’ve watched Laura grow up over the years, as she is my sister’s best friend. What a privilege to be part of their story by capturing their engagement photos in downtown Lancaster (the central market area and also Franklin & Marshall's campus).
